Who Cares I’m Sick

Okay, so I am REALLY tired of not being able to work out. Today I am going to do it anyways. It will be an intense day, I am supposed to do HIIT 20, Abs 10 and Stretch 10. This is a very grueling workout. The last time I did Abs 10 my abs were sore for like 4 days. However, this is one of my problem areas. Although I do notice my stomach is getting smaller, I am starting to notice a flat tire look around my stomach. This is something that I do not mind as a war wound but I would still like to do everything I can to try and get rid of it. Until next time.

Another Day I Can’t Work Out

Okay, I will be the first to admit I go to Dr. Google for almost everything. I mean, he is just so smart and attractive why wouldn’t I?

Well. the issue is that Dr. Google says that if you have any sickness issues “below the neck” that you should not work out. TurboFire is VERY intensive as far as working out goes. On Thursday I tried to workout for about 5 minutes and ended up coughing super hard for about 10 minutes afterwards. this was supposed to be a 30 minute workout day so, no working out for me.

Yesterday I tried to go on a walk with my 1 year old. This went great! However, it is still February and it’s kinda cold outside for my 1 year old. So it’s on to another day of figuring out what I can do that will not be too much for my cough and chest congestion.

The good thing is I am forcing myself to stick to my diet. I am VERY monotonous when it comes to what I eat. In fact I eat the same thing EVERY day of the week. This way buying groceries is easier and I don’t have to worry about wasting food. I try to buy most of my vegetables frozen or I only buy enough for the week and I eat it before it goes bad. I eat a well balanced diet following the 21 Day Fix diet plan, the calories follow very closely with what Chalene Johnson wants you to be eating on TurboFire so it works very well. Also, I love learning the portion system. I am a habitual over eater, in fact on my cheat days I am horrible about over eating or eating crap and end up with a stomach that feels like I ate bricks. You know that feeling when you eat a ton of Velveeta queso? Yea, that’s the one. Well, apparently when you eat very clean, which is what I would consider the 21 Day Fix diet, and then you eat like crap it hurts. My poor system goes into shock after a day I have overloaded on terrible food.

The better thing is I know all of this about myself now and I am working towards getting better with my diet habits. I have actually gotten to where I like working out and these last few days of not being able to workout suck! I have learned how to eat healthy on a budget and feed a 1 year old mostly healthy (she’s picky).

February 12th, 2016 Check In Day

Okay, not sure how accurate this is but when I weighed myself this morning I was down 5 pounds for the week, then my stomach started growling and I weighed myself again and it would have only been 1 pound for the week. I don’t know which is right but we’ll go with the 5 pounds. I am also down 1% in body fat and .75 inches!

February 5th, 2016 Check In Day

Alright, results this week are: 1.6 pounds down and 1.25 inches gone! I have been eating mostly good, I took a cheat day on Monday and was sick the last 2 days so I have been eating lots of raspberry sherbet to help soothe my throat. Back on diet today with maybe spoonfuls of the sherbet to help. Also, back to working out today after 2 days off. Time for this mama to burn some calories!

January 22nd, 2016 Check In Day!

Okay, first off apparently I was bad last week in that most of my weight loss was because I was not drinking enough water so I did have a gain this week. But, I also cheated several days throughout the week so I did part of it to myself. Here are my results this week:

Body Fat Gained +0.5
Inches Lost 0.75

Eating Problems

Yesterday I ate not so good. I thought I did well ordering at Cotton Patch but unfortunately I did not. It resulted in me gaining 2 pounds between yesterday and today. There is nothing more dissapointing than gaining weight and having to move marble from the “Weight Lost” jar to the “Weight to Lose” jar. I am back on track today. I am definitely glad for apps such as Pact App that keep me motivated to eat more fruits and veggies. Without some kind of money penalty I would not have nearly the same incentive to eat healthy. We are going on a date on Sunday night so hopefully there is something there healthy. I think we are going to Olive Garden so there should be some “healthier” alternatives. Oh well, Later folks!

Workout Problems

Well, for the most part I have been doing well with getting my workouts done. I think I have missed one since the beginning of the year. However, today I ate pretty unhealthy (Cotton Patch) and then worked out causing stitches in my left side. No big deal, I walked to cool down and then sat down till it subsided. Next time I know not to eat a big meal before working out.
I love getting stronger everyday. Also, it makes somethings easier like walking around all day. I can’t wait to get to my goal weight. I still have a long way to go but I will get there!

January 15th, Check In Day!

Ideally I would like to post every Friday with an update as to what my progress is. Not saying it will always be a long post but at least like measurements and pictures.

This week I did really well with the eating until yesterday, I ate cornbread and chili for lunch. Not exactly the best choice but oh well! Tonight we are going on a date night so that will not be good either. Anyways, measurements as follows:

Another Day, Another Year…

2016-01-01 08.26.372016-01-01 08.26.49Have you ever noticed how many resolutions people make for the new year? I know I do every year! I can’t even think of a year where lose weight was not on my list of things to do for the year. Last year I actually had some success in losing weight, well I guess technically that started in 2014 when I got pregnant.

We had moved in with my parents to help us save up for a house and me and my mom started doing lots of weight loss stuff together. We joined several dietbets and I actually lost some weight. This is probably a huge reason I got pregnant in the first place. Over the course of my pregnancy I lost quite a bit of weight. I am not sure what I was directly before getting pregnant but I know when I moved in with my parents I was up to 252.2 pounds. This is not good for anyone with a 5’7″ frame, even with thicker bones. After having Andria I was down to 210. This is a pretty good weight loss for me.

I exclusively pumped for 13 months and during that time I ate everything under the sun. This was mostly because I was nervous of losing my precious “supply.” I never had an issue with that after my milk finally came in all the way. Around about month 9 I decided I didn’t care if I lost some supply (I was also donating about 200 ounces a month.) I started on the 21 Day Fix Diet and workouts. I know this is a really popular diet right now and me and my mom had purchased it right before I got pregnant so I finally decided to try it. Mostly because I was tired of being overweight. I know my husband loves me very much and doesn’t really care how much I weight but during the last pregnancy along with having to worry about blood clots I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes.

I know we would like to have another child and I would rather not have to deal with that again so I decided now was the time to lose weight. In August 2015 I started losing weight. I slowed down around the holidays as I know so many people do.

For all intents and purposes when I talk about my weight loss I will start with January 1, 2016. This is the day my life will begin. I joined a new diet bet, I will continue to join new diet bets as I meet the goal of the previous one to help me snowball the weight loss.

January 1, 2016 I am at:

Weight 226.2

Body Fat 47%

Inches 253.75

 

This number will go down!
